Hypnosis to Promote Fertility
Barbara has been trained in the Mind-Body
Fertility Connection® methods by James Schwartz. These methods are
based on hypnosis to promote fertility. James Schwartz, who specializes in
infertility hypnosis, wrote the book
The
Mind-Body Fertility Connection and has been endorsed by
leaders in the fields of hypnotherapy, acupuncture and Maya
massage. Through his extensive work with infertility clients,
James Schwartz has created and developed the Hypnosis to Promote
Fertility program. It includes a unique hypnotherapy protocol that combines
stress reduction, visualization, meditation, mind-body healing, energy work,
Eastern medicine, cellular work, and, most importantly, working to identify and
process issues that may be preventing pregnancy. This program is dedicated
to helping women achieve full-term pregnancy.
Hypnotherapy can help women
identify and process emotional issues within the subconscious that might be
interfering with conception.

There are several scientific studies that show that
women have a much greater chance of conceiving if they participate in a
mind-body healing program such as hypnotherapy. The main reason for this is
because the biggest obstacle to conception and full-term pregnancy is stress.
When a woman's body is stressed, it can create several conditions that can
interfere with conception and being able to carry a baby full-term: poor
follicular production, inability to ovulate, hormone imbalances, excessive
cortisol production, insufficient blood flow to the uterus, stimulating the
sympathetic nervous system and those are just a few.
Hypnosis deals directly with the subconscious mind
which holds all of our old fears, anxieties, memories and beliefs. Reducing
stress can dramatically change these dynamics. One way to assist in reducing
stress includes learning a personalized self-hypnosis program.
In this fertility program we also look at the
underlying issues of infertility, such as old unprocessed issues. For example,
if a woman has a miscarriage, that very emotional and devastating event can
plant a fearful seed in her mind. That fear is likely to simmer within her
every time she thinks about having a baby. That very fear stresses her
mind and body which, in turn, can block conception or full-term pregnancy.
Therefore, one of the most important parts of the fertility journey is to
release those old issues which could be creating stress in the body.
Hypnotherapy is a highly
effective mind-body technique which helps individuals identify and
process subconscious blocks that may be interfering with conception. In a
relaxed therapeutic environment, the hypnotherapist and the individual work
together to bring about positive attitudes and beliefs regarding pregnancy,
childbirth and motherhood.
